Welcome to Africana

Africana is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal on all matters related to Africa. Established in 2005 at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, the journal moved in 2010 to the African Studies Center at Boston University, where it is currently based. As of June 2011, we are beginning the process of becoming a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. We welcome contributions from all individuals who have a research interest in Africa. We are particularly interested in innovative and creative contributions on African history, politics, literature, anthropology and sociology and that address pressing related to Africa, such as internal and external developmental challenges, public health and urbanization. We also welcome relevant book reviews.
