Our Mission

It is in the spirit of contributing to open dialogue on African issues, as advocated by W.E.B. DuBois and others, that this journal has been established. Contributions to the journal are expected to be multidisciplinary. It is the aim of the Board that a high quality of contributions be maintained, that the contributions be global and from a wide range of perspectives, including practical, theoretical and critical perspectives on Africa, Africans, and the African Diaspora. Our mission is peace, development, progress and hope for Africa, which is what our logo represents. Issues will be made available on-line, with a 6-month delay from the date of publication, at the AfricanaJournal.org web-site.
